You are witnessing a product of the Disco Generation, the Punk Movement, the New Wave Pop onslaught, the British Metal Invasion and a ground-breaking medium called "the music video" that was played 24 hours a day from 1982 until 1989. Dan awoke to MTV, went to school with Madonna and the Sex Pistols, had dinner with the Grateful Dead, and went to bed with The Clash, The Tubes, Rod Stewart, Chic, John Lennon, and The Who. Metalheads, Punks, Mods, Stoners, Freaks and Geeks all attended Chaparral High School smack-dab in the middle of Scottsdale, Arizona.

A strict diet to be ecclectic and deranged, as much music as humanly possible. Technology in music is what sparks this drummers creativity and interest. From Do-wop to Texas Chicken Pickin', no Sly Stone un-turned for this Bad Motor Scooter.

The synthesizer was an interesting toy during the development of MIDI, and turned a curious mind into a full-bore programming headon. Dan has owned over 15 synthesizers and samplers throughout his lifetime, and continues to explore the workings through the digital realm.

At the age of 13, Dan's sister completely ruined her brothers purity and innocence by spoiling the fruits of the Hollywood record labels by introducing his teenage world to the magic of Frank Zappa. Humor does belong in music, and so do great stand-up musicians: Vinnie Colaiuta, Terry Bozzio, Ralph Humphrey, Chad Wackerman... All fantastic, but so are the other guys: Patrick O'Hearn, Jimmy Carl Black, Jeff Simmons, Ray White, Ike Willis, Roy Estrada.

During his more formidable years, The Seattle sound pushed the cookie-cutter metal scene aside, Grunge became mainstream, Rap and Hip Hop reached nation-wide proportions, Gangsta Rap was hot, and fueled the gun-toting crack craze. There was a new breed in town: Electronica. Groups like Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Beastie Boys, and The Prodigy pushed technology to its limits in creating new rhythms, drum machine methods, and sythesizer techniques.

A mind filled with the styles and influence of: Tony Thompson (Chic, Powerstation, Sister Sledge, Pointer Sisters), Stewart Copeland (The Police), Prarie Prince (The Tubes, Jefferson Starship, Journey), Chris Squire (Yes), Todd Rundgren, Devo, The Beatles, 70's Roller Disco, the MIDI generation, Harley Davidson, America, Mexico, desert-dwelling teenagers from the 70's, and list that goes on and on......
